Many of us would have missed Mental Health Day in October. We tend to take notice of events or issues if we have had direct experiences e.g. through family or friends, that’s just human nature. Mental Health day, serves as a great reminder for all of us to be aware of not only our own mental health but also those around us. The phrase ‘Mental Health’ covers such a huge spectrum of states of mind e.g. from a healthy sense of well-being to moments when we can feel isolated and vulnerable. So often it is only when we perceive something to be ‘wrong’ that we even consider these things.
Let’s grow, enjoy and succeed together: New Sports Workshop
Our bodies need exercise and good food to stay healthy. Our minds can also be supported with simple techniques and routines, to be helped to stay healthy. This week in collaboration with two talented young sports psychology coaches, we have launched Mindfit Sport a mindfulness sports program. This workshop is designed to help children grow, enjoy and succeed in their lives.
The aim of this workshop
To encourage young people to not only engage with sport but to also develop, confident and healthy minds.
How will we do this?

Using a mixture of interactive learning techniques in the classroom and on the sports field. Children will use mindfulness to develop their concentration and focus. Giving them a series of simple, memorable and practical tips to help them grow, enjoy and succeed in sports, in the classroom and in their lives.
